Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and his late 8 PM invigorating speeches have been the most-awaited ones since India stepped into its Lockdown phases due to the growing coronavirus cases in India.
With India in its 3rd Lockdown, PM Modi addressed the nation for the 5th time since the Janta Curfew on March 22. Narendra Modi in his live speech on May 12 said that we are in the same state as that of a war, a war against the grave pandemic of coronavirus(COVID-19).
In his address to the nation, PM said that we can not stand still because of this raging disease, we have to move ahead while saving ourselves.
In his 33 minute speech, PM Modi covered aspects like the progress India has made in the past 6 years, the Indian economy, infrastructure, technology, our demographic, and the usage of local-made goods. Modi talked about growing and improving the supply chain and introduced the “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”
PM also sent out an important message of encouraging Local manufacturing and buying from the local manufacturers with a powerful now-famous slogan- VOCAL ABOUT LOCAL!
The key points and highlights of the PM’s speech are:
“In this hour of crisis, the local goods, and manufacturing have met our demands, all the Indians have to be vocal about the locals and encourage each other to buy from them.”
“He made it clear that India will have its 4th phase of lockdown from 18th May and this lockdown will be governed by the new set of rules and guidelines. These guidelines will be made public soon before the last day of the 3rd lockdown.”
“Modi highlighted that India has and is performing well and has come out to be efficient this time due to the reforms we have been following for the past 6 years. Now the scope of these reforms must be broadened.”

“A very important point made by the PM was when the coronavirus crisis started not even a single PPE Kit was manufactured in the country and only a few N95 masks were available. Now, India manufactures 2 lakh N95 masks and 2 lakh PPE kits daily.”
“It is our responsibility to ensure that the 21st century belongs to India.”
“Our PM expressed his condolences towards the families who lost their loved ones to the coronavirus. He said more than 42 lakh people from different countries have been affected by the COVID-19 and more than 2.75 have lost their lives to it.”
“One small virus has devastated the world and it’s been almost 4 months that mankind has been fighting this deadly virus and this absolutely unimaginable!”
